The EME Branch Fund was established on 15 May 1997 for the purpose of helping to improve the well-being of the serving and retired regular, reserve and former members of the EME Branch. The EME Branch Fund office is located at Canadian Forces School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Canadian Forces Base Borden.
Membership in the EME Branch Fund is voluntary, with Regular Membership open to both serving and retired members of the regular or reserve forces.
To Branch Fund members the Fund offers:
Giveaways such as:
EME Anniversary Buttons;
EME yearly calendar; and
Accoutrements to (QL3 and Officer Phase III graduates).
Membership Draws. There will be eight (8) draws per year during EME Branch-hosted activities. All EME Branch Fund members in good standing will be entered. Each draw will be for a cash award of $150.00 and a $100.00 gift certificate from the EME Branch Kit Shop.
Educational Short Term Loan. This loan will be offered with interest free payments. This loan will not exceed 50% of course cost or $500.00 whichever is less. Repayment will be by pay allotment.
Bursary or Scholarship Awards. This is offered yearly to provide financial support to dependants of EME Branch Fund members towards the completion of all post-secondary education.
Access to Sports Awards. All Branch Fund members in good standing will be given a discounted price on their registration/entrance fee for all EME Branch-hosted sporting activities.
Kit Shop Discounts. Presentation of your card at any Kit shop will give you a 5% discount off all purchases.
Benevolent Loans or Hardship Grants. All applications are to be forwarded through the chain of command to the Administrative Committee.
For ALL Branch members the Fund will:
Sponsor EME Branch Regional and Advisor Awards.
Maintain all EME artifacts and memorabilia.
Maintain the 50th anniversary commemorative monument.
Remember all members and next of kin at time of bereavement.
Provide recognition for all EME Branch members.
