Canadian Army Re-enacts Imjin Hockey Game Played During Korean War

November 16, 2017 – Ottawa – National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces

Media are invited to attend the 5th annual Imjin Hockey Classic, an event to commemorate the role Canadians played in the Korean War. The hockey game is co-hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Canadian Army, at TD Place Stadium in Ottawa, on Saturday, November 18, 2017.

When: 5 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 (opening ceremony at 5:45 p.m.)
Where
:  TD Place Stadium, Gate 2 – 1015 Bank St, Ottawa, ON.
Who: Minister In Kyu Park from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada; Brigadier-General S.R. Kelsey, Chief of Staff Army Strategy and players from the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and the Royal 22e Régiment.
What: Media will have an opportunity to speak with some of the VIPs present and the members of the hockey teams, as well as gather imagery and footage of the game.
