Warrant Officer Steve Ouimet

Warrant Officer Steve Ouimet began his military career with the Regular Force in 1998, at the age of 19, and was posted to 3rd Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment (3 R22R) in Valcartier, Québec. While serving with 3 R22R, he completed his Basic Parachute Course in 1999, and joined the para company in 2001, and held numerous roles including rifleman and Section Commander. In his 14 years with 3 R22R, WO Ouimet deployed to Bosnia, Haiti, and Afghanistan three times. In 2012, after returning from his second language course, he was posted to the Canadian Army Advance Warfare Centre (CAAWC) in Trenton, Ontario. Thanks to his knowledge, experience and numerous abilities, WO Ouimet spent five years running various parachute related courses, assisting dozens of soldiers to become part of the airmobile unit. WO Ouimet has also completed his Tandem Instructor and the High Altitude High Opening Parachutist courses (HAHO). During free time he likes riding his Harley Davidson.
