Chief Warrant Officer T.B. (Todd) D’Andrade, 2 PPCLI Regiemtal Sergeant-Major

Chief Warrant Officer T.B. (Todd) D’Andrade joined the Canadian Forces in March 1983, out of Toronto, Ontario.  He completed Basic Training in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia and trades training at the PPCLI Battle School in Wainwright Alberta.  His first posting was to the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry in Esquimalt B.C. as a Rifleman.

During his career, CWO D’Andrade has completed the Infantry Section Commander Course, Infantry Platoon Commander Course, Infantry Company Sergeant-Major Course. He is qualified LAV III Crew Commander, Basic Para, and Advance Winter Warfare.

CWO D’Andrade has spent most of his career in the field force with 3 PPCLI the Canadian Airborne Regiment-2 Commando, and 1 PPCLI.  He has seen extra regimental service with the Canadian Forces Recruiting Centre, Detachment Windsor, Ontario, Essex & Kent Scottish, Land Force Western Area Training Centre and the year-long French course.

CWO D’Andrade' operational experience includes deployments with the United Nations Force in Cyprus in 1986, United Nations Protection Force in Croatia in 1992-93 again in 1994 and NATO Stabilization Force in Bosnia in 1997 and 2000.  In 2004, he deployed to Afghanistan as a Platoon Warrant on Op ATHENA in Kabul and, in 2006, as Alpha Company Quartermaster for Task Force Orion as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.

During his career, CWO D’Andrade has been awarded the Commanders Commendation for his actions supporting Operations on Task Force Orion.  He was awarded the Order of Military Merit (MMM) in 2010.

CWO D’Andrade interests include taking care of the Four F’s: Family, Fun, Fitness and Focus. In July 2012, he will be married 25 years to his extremely supportive wife Kelly-Anne and have two wonderful children, Allison (23) and Ian (21), who both live in Australia.

Promoted to his current rank in April 2012, CWO D’Andrade is currently appointed Regimental Sergeant Major for 2 PPCLI as of 18 June 2012.
