The G6 Branch's mission is to support BATUS, DRDC and CFB Suffield's voice and data telecommunications services. This includes the installation and maintenance of all internal and external communications equipment and cabling.

G6 is divided into several sections:

• the communication center
• telecommunications services
• line section
• network operations centre and
• IS maintenance.

They are responsible for all telecommunications towers, cable closets and manholes. They also control all network servers, computers and other ADP equipment. Their coverage ranges from Ralston to Base proper and extends throughout the large training area.

The Help Desk provides a single point of contact and support for BATUS, DRDC and CFB Suffield units.
