Exercises and Training
Exercise Mustang Duke - May, 2010 - Held in Chilcotin, B.C. It is coordinated by The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught’s Own), and is the largest collective training event in British Columbia for the reservists so far this year.
Simunition Training - May, 2010 - Infantry recruits from the Western Area Training Centre Detachment Shilo train at the Urban Operation Center to get the real live affect of fighting in built up areas. Western Sentinel page 5.
Exercise Acorn Identity - April, 2010 - Held at 17 Wing, Winnipeg, 6 Intelligence Company, a reserve force company, focused the company on battle traffic analysis, target packet creation, and exercise development.
Assault Boat Training - 2PPCLI Infantry members used assault boats for amphibious insertion into Assiniboine River.
Exercise Skilled Sapper - The troops of 1 Combat Engineer Regiment (1 CER) attended a Boat, Bridge Erection (BBE) course at Cultus Lake Just outside of Chilliwack, BC.

Exercise Kapyong Spartan - 2PPCLI Infantry members practised core competancy skills and dismounted exercises, marching over 80 km over 2 weeks.
Gun Camp C-7 Qualification - March, 2010 - Fort Garry Horse held a Gun Camp C-7 Qualification weekend and invited solier's families, and employers to the event. Western Sentinel page 6.
Exercise Dinosaur Scout - March, 2010 - Reservists from 41 Brigade Group took part in an exercise in Drumheller Alberta. The participants used armoured reconnaissance and infantry patrols to experience working in an urban area. Also: Western Sentinel, page 3.
Exercise Rolling Dart - February, 2010 - 38 Canadian Brigade Group, Combat Service Support Tactical Group took part in this exercise around Lake Winnipeg's provincially manintained ice roads, in order to practise vehicle recovery. Western Sentinel, page 7.

Exercise Northern Bison - February, 2010 - More than 100 Army reservists from across 38 CBG took part in the sub-arctic as a step to increasing the Army's northern capability.

Exercise Indigo Watcher - January, 2010 - Held at CFB Wainwright saw more than 40 Reserve Signal personnel and support staff conduct scenario based training.
